Speaking Engagement: New England Women in Family Office Half Day Conference

Coventry Edwards-Pitt, Chief Wealth Advisory Officer at Ballentine Partners, was a featured speaker at the Fidelity New England Women in Family Office Half Day Conference on September 22nd. The conference included several conversations about wealth and children in group sessions, with Covie facilitating the discussion on children’s development of a sense of self and identity. Participants shared stories and points of view, with Covie guiding the conversation to practical advice for parents.

Named one of the “Top 50 Most Influential Women in Private Wealth,” Covie is the Chief Wealth Advisory Officer of Ballentine Partners, a Boston-area based investment and wealth advisory firm she joined 11 years ago. Covie has a history of innovation within the firm and the industry and was instrumental in the creation and execution of the Family Wealth Scorecard™ (a benchmarking tool to assess the health of a client’s financial situation) and leadership pipeline, which was featured in the August 2013 Inside Information Magazine cover story. Covie has channeled her passion for her work into a book, “Raised Healthy, Wealth, & Wise: Lessons from successful and grounded inheritors on how they got that way.” The book brings new insights to the difficult problem of raising children well amid wealth and has been well received by many industry leaders. A trained opera singer and pianist, she also serves on the board of Emmanuel Music, the Boston‐based ensemble of singers and instrumentalists.  She is a member of the Women’s Presidents’ Organization as well as the Collaboration for Family Flourishing, a community of professionals and family members devoted to helping families flourish across multiple generations of wealth.
