Ballentine team volunteers at Lexington Community Farm

A group of Ballentine employees recently spent a few hours of their morning to visit local nonprofit Lexington Community Farm and help plant rows of tomato varieties and eggplants.  The volunteers helped farm hands plant hundreds of starter plants that will feed people all across Greater Boston.

Lexington Community Farm is a nonprofit organization in Lexington, MA that “works to connect the community to locally grown food and sustainable farming practices while preserving historic farmland”. They manage nearly 8 acres of diversified organic farmland, operating both a vegetable and flower CSA, a farmstand, and offering seasonal educational events, programs, and workshops for adults, teens, and children.
