Akeiva is a Financial Education Specialist at the firm. Akeiva loves helping people learn to create, build and preserve wealth in a way that allows them to live their best and most fulfilling life. She is particularly interested in wealth psychology, education planning, and special needs planning.
Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Akeiva worked as a Tax Intern with Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP and as a Finance Intern with Florida Hospital. During her undergraduate career, she worked for several years as a Student Aid in her alma mater’s Student Financial Services office, where she helped students and their families navigate the financial aid and clearance processes. She also served two years as the Financial Vice President for her student government and one year as a project leader for her university’s chapter of Enactus (formerly known as SIFE). During her senior year, she also served as a member of the Governing Board for Washington Adventist Hospital.
Akeiva is a CPA, Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2019. Akeiva earned a Master of Science in Financial Planning (MSFP) from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University in 2018. She graduated summa cum laude from Washington Adventist University in April of 2017 with majors in Accounting and Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
In her spare time, Akeiva promotes financial education for young adults through her YouTube channel and brand, The Bemused. She also runs a professional services business called Snatch My Career, which helps college students and recent graduates attain gainful employment by improving their resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles. Akeiva enjoys listening to music, singing, and traveling.
