Basirat is a Wealth Planning Associate at the firm. In her role, she enjoys helping clients achieve their goals and dreams. Prior to joining Ballentine Partners, Basirat was a Financial Coach at Compass Working Capital, a nonprofit financial services organization with a mission to help families achieve greater financial stability through financial coaching and savings programs.

Before her time at Compass, Basirat had a variety of professional and volunteer experiences in financial management consulting, data analysis, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She also served for multiple years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic, where her projects centered on community economic development, corporate social responsibility, and children’s rights. During this time, she also facilitated and managed youth programs focused on gender equality and entrepreneurship.

Basirat graduated from Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting and a minor in Psychology. She later went on to get a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Global Supply Chain Management. She was awarded the Outstanding Student Achievement Award, given to one member of the graduating class.

Basirat has roots in Rhode Island and currently lives in Miami, Florida. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, working out, going for walks, trying new restaurants and recipes, and watching movies and shows with her friends and family. Basirat is fluent in Spanish and has limited proficiency in Yoruba.
