Juan is a Senior Quantitative Manager at the firm. In this role, he supports all divisions of the firm whenever they require data curated, compiled, and analyzed. Some additional duties include compiling economic data and reports for client meetings, collaborating in the creation of proprietary research, developing and maintaining financial and asset allocation models, and implementing or building in-house software applications. He also provides investment support to a limited number of client relationships.

Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Juan worked as a Financial Advisor for a team of Ameriprise Financial advisors for eleven years. Starting as an intern in 2004 after graduate school, Juan went on to become an integral part of the team working directly with clients to implement comprehensive financial plans and provide investment advice on a wide range of products.

Juan moved from Colombia in 1996 to pursue a BS degree in economics at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, after which he received an MBA from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA with concentrations in finance and IT. In 2015, he became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and joined the CFA Society of South Florida. In 2017 he became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner.  In 2018, Juan received the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.

Juan and his wife relocated to Florida in 2016, where they enjoy year-round golfing and attending outdoor events around the Palm Beach area. In his spare time, Juan likes to draw, play piano, dance, travel, read, Crossfit, and trying out new experiences. Currently, Juan is interested in learning about machine learning, artificial intelligence (and related math topics), and Python programming.
