Will is a Partner Emeritus at the firm
Will has over 40 years of experience in investment management, and more than 30 years in executive leadership roles within asset management companies. Before joining Ballentine, Will was the CEO of the Americas for Fortis Investments until its acquisition by BNP Paribas, where he led a team of 130 professionals in Fortis’ expansion into North and South America. Prior to that, Will served as the Chief Investment Officer for John Hancock Advisers & Funds, where he managed the managers and analysts responsible for more than $30B in assets. Will also spent nearly 20 years with Baring Asset Management, where he rose to the position of CIO in London, after a long tenure as the head of the Boston-based investment team. Will began his career at Bank of Boston as an equity and credit analyst.
Will earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Bucknell University where he was active in the student government as Treasurer and in the administration as a member of the Finance Committee.
Will is an avid cyclist and traveler, usually combining the two.
