Pete Chiappinelli, Partner & Chief Investment Officer, will be presenting at the Institute for Private Investors Fall Investment Forum.

His session, “Direct Indexing and Tax Alpha: It Took 101 Years, But Not a Minute Too Soon,” explores how the investment landscape has evolved since the launch of the first mutual fund in 1924. For decades, active managers sought to deliver “investment alpha,” yet research continues to show that very few succeed—particularly after taxes.

For family office investors, where combined federal and state tax rates can exceed 50%, this challenge is even more acute. Pete will highlight why the focus must now shift toward Tax Alpha as the key driver of long-term value.

Partners Jayson DeAngelis and Elisa Gruber Lustig will also be in attendance at the event.
