Will Braman, CIO at Ballentine Partners, was interviewed for a podcast with Real Assets Adviser. Will is a Partner, Senior Investment Advisor, and Chief Investment Officer at the firm. He is responsible for leading the investment team and managing the investment process. Will has over 30 years of experience in investment management, and more than 20 years in executive leadership roles within asset management companies. Most recently, Will was the CEO of the Americas for Fortis Investments until its acquisition by BNP Paribas, where he led a team of 130 professionals in Fortis’ expansion into North and South America. Prior to that, Will served as the Chief Investment Officer for John Hancock Advisers & Funds, where he managed the managers and analysts responsible for more than $30B in assets. Will also spent nearly 20 years with Baring Asset Management, where he rose to the position of CIO in London, after a long tenure as the head of the Boston-based investment team. Will began his career at Bank of Boston as an equity and credit analyst. Will earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Bucknell University where he was active in the student government as Treasurer and in the administration as a member of the Finance Committee.
