Sheila C. Lawrence, MALD, CFP®, CAP®, was featured at the New England International Donors Global Changemakers Gala, held on November 28, 2018. NEID is a collection of people who are all passionate in addressing some of the world’s biggest challenges: the effects of climate change and helping women and girls affected by human trafficking. Sheila spoke on her experience as part of the Giving Circle on Climate Change Mitigation to a crowd of over 200 guests, sharing her personal journey of learning and sharing knowledge with experts in our local community.

Sheila is a Partner and Senior Client Advisor at the firm. A significant portion of Sheila’s practice involves estate planning, wealth transfer and investment management with a particular focus on philanthropy, financial education and coaching for the rising generation. Sheila works closely with each member of a family to ensure continuation of values from one generation to the next. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Sheila earned a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, concentrating on international business and international trade policy. She completed an internship in Singapore with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, researching emerging market investment risk management. Prior to that, Sheila worked at Bear Stearns & Co., Inc. in the credit risk management department. She managed credit risks across the firm’s derivatives transactions portfolio, including those for high net worth clients. Sheila is actively involved in the Boston Estate Planning Council, serving as the chair of its Public and Community Outreach Committee.
