Coventry Edwards-Pitt was one of several professionals speaking on “Learning to Lead” where they discussed ways to develop partners for advisory firms at Bob Veres’ Insider’s Forum on September 29, 2015. With a focus on incorporating the Leadership Pipeline concept, some topics covered include the leader’s role in developing these other leaders and partners, how time and attention are divided among those staff members, and creating detailed job descriptions to help guide staff members toward the next level in their careers.
Covie is the author of the book “Raised Healthy, Wealthy & Wise: Lessons from successful and grounded inheritors on how they got that way,” for which she interviewed inheritors who went on to lead productive, motivated, and independent lives and summarized the key messages that work when raising children amid wealth. Since the book’s publication in 2014, Covie has been a featured speaker at over 70 events for wealth-owning families and their advisors. She particularly enjoys sharing the messages and stories from the book and seeing how they inspire families to make changes to put the lessons into practice in their own lives.
