Cal is a Senior Investment Advisor at the firm. He advises family office clients on the development and implementation of investment strategies across multi-generational portfolios. In his role, Cal works closely with families to navigate complex investment decisions and is particularly focused on engaging and educating next generation family members on the firm’s investment philosophy and approach to markets. He is also a member of the firm’s investment research team, where he focuses on hedge funds and other alternative investments.

Prior to joining Ballentine Partners, Cal gained experience across investment research and market analysis roles. He interned with a registered investment advisor in the Boston area, where he conducted research on growth-oriented companies. During graduate school, he completed a market research project for the MBTA. Earlier in his career, he conducted real estate market research focused on affordable housing.

Cal is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® professional. He earned his undergraduate degree from Ithaca College, where he majored in Finance and minored in Economics. He also holds a Master of Arts in International Economics and Finance from the Brandeis University School of Business and Economics.

Cal lives in Maine with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending time outdoors.
