Emily Cashman is a Partner and Senior Client Advisor at Ballentine Partners. She works closely with families to ensure that all aspects of their wealth—investment management, estate planning, tax strategy, and philanthropy—are thoughtfully coordinated and aligned with their long-term vision and values. Emily is particularly passionate about supporting women as they navigate important inflection points in life and wealth, including leadership transitions, liquidity events, and other periods of change.

Emily has more than 20 years of experience in consulting and investment management. Prior to joining Ballentine in 2018, she led the Lee Family Office in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she oversaw investment management, estate and tax planning, legal, and philanthropic activities for the family and its foundation. Previously, she was a Client Advisor at SCS Financial, serving the comprehensive wealth management needs of high-net-worth families. Emily began her career in M&A advisory at KPMG LLP.

Emily received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Babson College and a Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University. She served for several years on the Board of the Barbara Lee Family Foundation until the foundation concluded its work in 2025.

Outside of work, Emily is an avid runner and skier who enjoys spending time outdoors. On weekends, she can often be found cheering on her kids at the soccer field and dance studio, or hiking local conservation trails with her dog, Bert.
