Jamar Gopie is a Wealth Planning Associate on the Family Office Team at Ballentine Partners, where he supports ultra-high-net-worth families with comprehensive planning across investments, tax strategy, estate planning, and risk management. He is passionate about building long-term relationships and helping clients navigate complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence.
Prior to joining Ballentine Partners, Jamar was a Client Relationship Manager at VIM Wealth Management, an RIA based in Miami, FL, where he worked closely with high-net-worth individuals and families. Earlier in his career, he was a Financial Professional at Coastal Wealth, focusing on business development and supporting lead advisors in delivering holistic financial planning solutions, including life and disability insurance strategies. Jamar is currently a candidate for CFP® certification.
Outside of his professional role, Jamar is deeply involved in the sports community. He serves as a basketball coach and organizes community basketball events, including the annual Hoopsgiving Invitational, which raises funds to support veterans and local charitable initiatives. He is passionate about mentorship and creating opportunities for young athletes.
Jamar earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Florida International University, with a minor in Psychology. He is a Florida native and is recently married. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, coaching, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
