Prior to joining Ballentine in 2018, Emily worked as a financial advisor with a wealth management team at Merrill Lynch where she focused on developing customized wealth management plans and helping clients achieve their goals and objectives. There she earned the CERTIFIED FINANICAL PLANNER™ certification and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ designation to gain broader knowledge in order to better serve clients. Before entering the financial services industry, Emily was an ice dancer whose skating career culminated with competing on behalf of the United States of America in two World Championships and, ultimately, the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
She graduated with highest distinction from the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in Political Economy and Development.
Emily lives in Wolfeboro with her husband, Alex, and their children. She enjoys travelling – especially internationally – and appreciating the arts, culture, and food of various countries. In her free time, she can be found reading, volunteering with her church, going on local adventures, and occasionally fooling around on an ice rink.
