Sheila is a Partner and Senior Client Advisor at the firm. A significant portion of Sheila’s practice involves estate planning, wealth transfer and investment management with a particular focus on philanthropy, financial education and coaching for the rising generation. Sheila works closely with each member of a family to ensure continuation of values from one generation to the next.
Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Sheila earned a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, concentrating on international business and international trade policy. She completed an internship in Singapore with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, researching emerging market investment risk management. Prior to that, Sheila worked at Bear Stearns & Co., Inc. in the credit risk management department. She managed credit risks across the firm’s derivatives transactions portfolio, including those for high net worth clients.
Sheila graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with a B.A. in Economics. Sheila is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®. Sheila is actively involved in the Boston Estate Planning Council, serving as the chair of its Public and Community Outreach Committee. She is past co-chair of the Professional Advisors Network at The Boston Foundation.
Sheila has a life-long background and interest in dance, and is particularly passionate about environmental conservation and sustainable agriculture. She serves on the board of Lexington Community Farm Coalition. She and her husband, Jason, have two young children and live in Lexington, MA. Sheila speaks Mandarin Chinese.
